    Description

Rare Sass N Class Annie Lee Black Doll LE Girls Night Out#6408Glamerous In Gold. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
This 17½", all-vinyl, Girl's Night Out doll, was inspired by the original Annie Lee painting titled: "High Roller."
Made in a limited quantity, Annie Lee's faceless dolls, portray emotion and glamour through detail and posture.
Annie Lee, the creator of these dolls, is renowned as one of the front-runners in African American artwork.
Her dolls had no faces, nor did the subjects of much of her artwork, but their posture reveals an emotion and liveliness that is hard to find elsewhere.
"I try to paint things that people can identify with," Lee told Contemporary Black Biography.
At her first gallery show in 1985, her paintings sold out within four hours.
From the Girls Night Out collection, is this all vinyl Glamerous in Gold doll. Jointed at the neck,  shoulders and hips, she is in excellent condition, despite missing jewelry and a tiny soil spot on her shoes.
She is otherwise in like new condition, complete with the original hang tag.
Made in 2004, there were only 10 dolls in the Night Out collection.
It would be fun to collect them all.
    Thanks
