Description
A Very Unique Mannlicher Carbine Model 95 Bayonet set.
This Bayonet Set is from my personal collection.
Scabbard and Bayonet both have the CEWG Code - SeePicture #3.
Scabbard and Bayonet both are marked with the Double Headed Imperial Eagle have Imperial Eagle Mark. Picture #4.
The Bayonet Set is a very desirable and hard to find Historic Collectable- , but with the unusual marks - it puts it in a class by itself -
it is much more desirable.
Research could really pay off on this Bayonet Set. Please see pictures to
appreciate this Unique Set.. Scabbard has typical dents and scratches of a Genuine Bayonet set that is is over
100 years old and been through two wars - judge by your standards. I think you will appreciate this Bayonet Set.
Please read this total description to judge and appreciate this set. This is not some junk picked up off of the battlefield that is rusty and pitted from the many years of being exposed to the weather.
The M95 Mannlicher Carbines were substitute standard for WW11 German Police and support troops during WWII -
these bayonets were re- issued with them. Unique and uncommon - quite a collector's marked bayonet set and
in-addition a great investment for the future. Very Historic bayonet Set.
The scabbard metal frogs were welded for
re-enforcement
during WWII and then the weld was covered with black paint. Some of the paint has rubbed off over the years, they could be touched up very easily, but I prefer to leave as is.
See the pictures to appreciate this highly collectable Set. This is another one that was in my large
personal
collection that I am down-sizing due to age.
This is a Genuine combat bayonet and shows honest use - it was not an arsenal queen. Wish it could talk.
Here is a chance to obtain a Rarer made - bayonet set that is in good condition for its age ( OVER 100 YEARS OLD) scabbard ( scabbard and Bayonet shows honest field use - it wasn't an arsenal Queen - Please see pictures to evaluate by your standards. - ( Pictures are included for your personal evaluation.) I could have polished any dis-coloration off, but I prefer to keep them original. Here is a one time chance for a unique and unique find.
This bayonet shows some use - it wasn't an arsenal queen! See Pictures to evaluate.
Probably was made in Pre World War 1 . It has been used but in decent condition, wanted to mention. Please see pictures to judge this Bayonet.
For a Bayonet that is probably 100 year old
- it would be hard to find a nicer one. Would make a Great Display item for a collector. Button on the catch works fine. Again -
Please see pictures to appreciate and properly evaluate this bayonet.
Please Note!
NOTE!!!These bayonets and scabbards were
re-conditoned
prior to WWII
for the German and Austrian Armies using M95 Mannlicher Carbines as substitute Standard.
The metal
frog hook on the metal scabbards were re-inforced
by brass brazing at the arsenal and then simply painted over the braze with black paint
- usually after all their use some of the brass is showing - I prefer to leave original, but it would be easy for owners to spot paint again.
The Rifles and Bayonets were substitute standard for German Army support troops during WWII and also issued to German Military Police.
The blade has not been sharpened since leaving the Gov't Arsenal. -
Bayonet buttons for attaching to rifles are always checked and work fine!
This Bayonet is for the Model 1895 Mauser Mannlicher Carbine, not the WW
11
K98K Mauser Rifle.

GENUINE AND VERY DESIRABLE OLDER MILITARY COLLECTABLE AT A FAIR AND REASONABLE PRICE. NOT A FAKE, COPY OR REPRODUCTION JUNK OR A TERRIBLE CONDITION ONE FOUND ON THE EASTERN FRONT- THIS IS THE REAL THING!!!
