    Description

    Very interesting Hungarian bayonet utilizing Austrian M1895 hilt coupled with the blade of an old Austrian socket bayonet, probably M1854 Lorenz. This type of bayonet was exclusively used by Hungarian Gendarmerie armed with a straight pull Mannlicher M1895. Bayonet is marked with maker name "Zilinka Budapest" on the blade and Gendarmerie number on the hilt. Very Good condition blade, slightly sharpened on the upper end and very good condition wooden grips with no chips and just a couple of dings. Iron scabbard has couple of dents on the bottom - door?  Bayonet comes with unmarked Hungarian frog in good condition. 18" long blade, muzzle: 0.580 dia.
