The bhupur of this yantra has a bright yellow color with shades of crimson and white. Yellow is the color of knowledge, and knowledge leads to bliss. Meditation on the yellow color generates a bright, sparkling purple color — the color of akasha, leading the practitioner into a state of deep meditation that enhances awareness.
The first circle of eight lotus petals has a light orange, saffron color. This color is a favorite for seekers of knowledge and ascetics. Its nature is different from the character of the usual orange color. These eight petals correspond to the eight relationships: worthy, unworthy, right perception, wrong perception, detachment, attachment, domination and slavery. Thus, they consist of four pairs of opposites, representing the basic properties of the human brain, its cortex, and maya.
The second circle of the lotus with eight petals is colored with a slightly brighter color than the light saffron color of bhupur: the shade of white becomes stronger. These eight petals symbolize the eightfold of prakriti: the five elements and the three gunas.
In the center of the yantra is a light purple six-pointed star of two equilateral triangles, in the center of which is bindu — sama Bhuvaneshwari. This hexagonal star is bright purple in color surrounded by a white (neutral) background. This is the color of light, which covers the entire spectrum. The white color does not absorb light, but reflects it. Meditation on a bright purple six-pointed star generates the yellow color of knowledge. This means that yantra consists of balancing complementary colors.
